THE BOROUGH OF WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY, PA is seeking applications for the position of a Full Time Department of Public Works Foreman. Qualified candidates shall meet the minimum requirements of being 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen, possess a high school diploma or higher degree, a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a safe driving record, ability to lift a minimum of thirty (30) pounds, ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment, and previous experience in performing street maintenance/repairs and snow plowing. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a valid CDL license, and a minimum of two (2) years of prior work history and experience as a Department of Public Works employee with previous supervisory skills and experience. A Pre-Employment Physical Examination, Drug Testing, and Background Check are required upon an offer of Employment. Any applicant not possessing a valid CD License upon being hired must agree to obtain one within 60 days of being hired. This is a Non-Union Salary positon along with health benefits, pension, paid holidays and vacations.
